6th Annual Progressive Dinner
May 3, 2008!
An Evening of Socializing
May 3, 2008 marked the date of the Sixth Annual Progressive Dinner. With 75 attendees and 17 host and hostesses the night was a huge success! As in previous years, all proceeds from this event benefit the residents of Villa Angela at St. Anne Home and the St. Felix Benevolent Care Fund.
The Progressive Dinner included a four course meal, which was served in the homes of friends and family members of St. Anne Home. The guests were assigned where they would partake in the different courses and when one course was over, they were asked to “progress” to the next assigned home.
Our host and hostesses outdid themselves once again with their delicious menus that included some of their special recipes. Each host is given full reign over what they wish to prepare and serve their guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Chiado, Mr. and Mrs. Carmen Pedicone, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Jones, Mrs. Donna Ferry, and Mrs. Fay Pierdominici hosted cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The Felician Sisters, Ms. Patricia Fenton, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson, Dr. and Mrs. Robert Tymoczko, Mr. and Mrs. James Bendel, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Manoli, Father Larry Kulick, hosted soup and salad. Mr. and Mrs. George Desko, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas DeGregory, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stoner, and Mr. and Mrs. David Malfara hosted entrees.
Co-chairperson Bernie Biss and her husband Joe hosted desserts for all the guests and hosts at the Latrobe Country Club. Even though our guests were filled after all the deliciously prepared foods, they still saved room for a wide variety of wonderful desserts.
In addition to the dinner, lottery tickets for a cash prize of $2,500 were sold during the months leading up to the dinner. The lucky winner was determined from the 3-digit 7:00pm PA Daily Lottery Number. The number was 724, and the winner was Barry Howe of Greensburg.
Congratulations on a job well done to our 2008 Progressive Dinner committee members. Bernie Biss and Paula Pedicone as co-chairs, s. Bernice M. Fiedor, Administrator of St. Anne Home, Anne Aungier, Betty Carbone, June Czarnecki, Sylvia Foley, Mary Gilmore, Suzanne Mahady, Toshua Martin, and Joanne Orengia. Thank you to all those who contributed to the success of this event.
