A Note from our New President & CEO

Effective July 1, 2010 Jeffrey S. Long has been named as the next President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Anne Home, a Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Greensburg, PA.  He replaces Sister Bernice M. Fiedor, who recently retired from this position.

After 19 years of service at St. Anne Home, in a variety of positions from an administrative volunteer, to an assistant administrator, then to the CFO position then Associate Administrator and Compliance Officer, Mr. Long is very excited about his new leadership position at St. Anne Home.  Mr. Long even found time to view the health care operations from a nurse aide’s perspective by completing a certified nurse aide training class during his career at St. Anne Home.  Mr. Long plans to continue this organization’s fine reputation in the community and looks to grow this wonderful ministry of the Felician Sisters which started back in 1964.

Mr. Long has developed a deep understanding and commitment to the Felician values and the ministry of St. Anne Home as a result of his opportunity to work closely with Sister Bernice Fiedor, past President and CEO, and many other Felician Sisters for so many years.  Mr. Long looks forward to build upon St. Anne Home’s strong reputation in the community as an outstanding Long Term Care provider offering nursing care, personal care and independent living.  “The Felician charism and values will always be our guide as we provide care and supportive services into the future”, Long said.

After receiving the news Mr. Long stated: “I am honored and humbled to follow Sister Bernice as St. Anne Home’s next President and CEO of St. Anne Home and I hope to carry on many of her initiatives and initiate a few of my own that will position our organization to grow and to continue our mission far into the future.  I hope to build upon the success of St. Anne Home and look forward to working with the Felician Sisters, Felician Services, our local Board of Directors, management, staff, residents and their families.

As highlighted in our mission statement, the residents, families and care givers will always be my top priority.  All of our focus here at St. Anne Home, in one way or another is to continue the healing mission of Jesus Christ.  I will do my best to ensure St. Anne Home remains a shining example of what can be accomplished when motivated people commit themselves to the Felician values and the healing mission of Jesus Christ.

I believe that the local community values St. Anne Home, our mission and values and what we offer to those in need.  Every day we live is another day with which God has blessed us.  My passion is to help those living at St. Anne Home make the most of each and every day God has given them to live, by engaging them to live each day to their fullest mental, physical, and spiritual potential,”  Long said
